The Community Economic Development Institute (CEDI) is a 6 month program sponsored by the Annie E. Casey Foundation Atlanta Civic Site, Neighborhood Transformation and taught by Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia. It is intended to build community capacity by training neighborhood residents interested in playing a leadership role regarding development in their community. The program will teach economic development concepts, tools, techniques and analysis. The end result will be residents who are empowered and informed by sustainable economic development principles and practices to help create a community of their own design and vision.
